The MB Innovation Hub is a newly formed
department, which aims to promote an open
innovation culture and increase our
performance by facilitating creative thinking
and knowledge sharing within the Group. The
Hub aims to support and facilitate valueadding ideas generated by employees, that
leads to developing new products, services,
or practices that could generate increased
benefit to the Group.
It is clear from the Engagement Surveys that
employees felt they have the capacity to be
innovative and entrepreneurial in the
workplace. The Hub will provide support for
the needed processes, governance, and
systems to be able to capture, implement,
capitalize, and reward great ideas generated
from employees turning them into innovative
reality.
The Chairman Award of Excellence (CAE) is a
competition that aims to award implemented
projects that exemplify business excellence in
identified categories.
In the past CAE was managed by HR and
Communications, now it has been taken over
by Innovation Hub.
To become a leading innovative organization
by investing, unlocking, rewarding individual
talents, strengthening, and sustaining
business creativity.
Developing an innovative and experimental
culture by creating an environment for
growth, cross- collaboration and mentorship
turning employees into change makers.
The innovation cycle encompasses all the
stages involved in converting an idea from
concept to development, including the
selection process and pitching rounds. The
first step is simply to assess whether the
concept aligns with our current businesses.
The second step involves presenting the idea
to a selected panel of experts. The third and
final step entails a discussion with an
experienced individual regarding the
investment proposal and its requirements. At
this stage, projects can be rejected,
approved, or conditionally approved. The
idea originator will be promptly informed of
the outcome of each stage after completion.
The innovation cycle aims to foster the
development of new ideas from employees
turning them into value making projects
where as the CAE aims to recognize
completed projects that have proven their
value.
Excellence is defined as a result that has
delivered exceptional new values to the
business and proves clear improvement to
our competitive edge.
The Innovation cycle takes place annually.
CAE takes place between Q3-Q4 every two
years
